About Alpine Howl

Alpine Howl was born from a shared love of the outdoors and our four-legged companions. The name captures that pure joy and wild energy of adventure just like skiers and snowboarders who rip down the mountain and howl with excitement as they carve through fresh powder. That same spirit inspires everything we create: gear that celebrates the bond between people, pets, and the mountain air we love to breathe.
Knowing that my mom, Debbie, loved to crochet, I asked her to make a hat and matching dog scarf so my pup, Hazel, and I could twin on all our adventures. In Colorado, dogs go everywhere with us, and Hazel and I are always part of the scene. I wanted something that felt local, sustainable, and full of heart—so Debbie began handcrafting each piece with love, often using leftover skeins of yarn donated by friends and grandmas from all over. That’s how many of our wild and colorful designs come to life! Every item is truly one-of-a-kind, made by hand for humans and their adventure pups alike.

Debbie is the creative heart behind Alpine Howl. She’s the one who brings our cozy matching hats and scarves to life—each piece carefully handcrafted with years of experience, skill, and a whole lot of love. Crochet has been a lifelong passion for her, beginning in Girl Scouts and continuing through high school classes, eventually growing into her own retail craft business that she ran for nearly 20 years. Every stitch she makes carries that same dedication and joy, turning simple yarn into one-of-a-kind creations for adventure-loving humans and their pups
