How Alpine Howl came to life:

Alpine Howl began with a love of the outdoors and pets!  The name comes about because skiers and snowboarders rip down the mountain and literally HOWL while screaming down the slopes! It’s so fun to be out feeling that mountain air.

Knowing that Debbie, my mom, loved to crochet I asked her to make a hat and matching dog scarf so me and my pup, Hazel, could wear them together wherever we go.

I mean in Colorado we take our dogs everywhere, so Hazel and I are always hip to the scene.

I also wanted to make something local and sustainable.  So Debbie’s hand makes a lot of these with love and leftover skeins of yarn from friends and grandmas all over.  That’s even how we come up with a lot of the crazy colors! These truly are one-of-a-kind handmade fashion for use humans and our pups.

Meet Debbie

Debbie is the creator of the Alpine Howl goods. She works her magic putting together each one of the matching hats and scarfs. They are all handmade with the careful movements developed over many years of experience… and of course love.  She’s been crocheting for as long as she can remember.  From Girl Scouts, classes in High School to her own retail craft business for nearly 20 years!
